Active Calculus
From Matthew Boelkins, David Austin, and Steven Schlicker at Grand Valley State University: “There are very few worked examples in the text, with there instead being 3-4 activities per section that engage students in connecting ideas, solving problems, and developing understanding of key calculus concepts; each section begins with motivating questions, a brief introduction, and a preview activity, all of which are designed to be read and completed prior to class; following the WeBWorK exercises in each section, there are several challenging problems that require students to connect key ideas and write to communicate their understanding.” Everything, including ancillaries, in various formats, can be found via the link above. Extended Echelon Form and Four Subspaces [Published PDF]
The first article written in PreTeXt was this short note for the American Mathematical Monthly in Summer 2013. LaTeX output (slightly edited) was sent to the publisher as the original submission. Since then, the XML source has been edited to keep up with revisions requested by the publisher and to keep up with changes to PreTeXt. You can compare the web version with the PDF of the published version. A few very minor differences will be ironed out as PreTeXt matures.
